Job Description:

We’re excited to make our first full-time data hire. In the role, you’ll be reporting directly to the COO and owning all things sales, advertising, inventory, and pricing data at Montaro. Your responsibilities include internal data management, analysis, problem-solving, and presentation; external client reporting and analytics; strategic pricing and forecasting; and other key projects that require your keen analytical skills and data-driven insights. You’re the data wizard that helps our team answer thorny questions, uncover strategic opportunities, and deliver best-in-class results for our clients. In this role, you’ll also receive tons of business exposure, working closely with Operations and Account Management leadership and across business verticals.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to improve and standardize the process of data collection, management, and reporting (eg, new brand/product onboarding, required data for operational success, analytics drivers, client reporting, etc.)
  • Solve questions from other business verticals through data analysis 
  • Understand sales, inventory, and financial data to advise and support the Account Management team
  • Understand advertising data to generate key insights, drive performance optimization, and build key dashboards for internal and external use
  • Own pricing strategies to optimize sell-through rates, inventory availability, and profitability
  • Ad-hoc cross-functional data projects

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • You’re an analytical thinker and problem-solver that is comfortable working on a small team, is energized by a fast-paced environment, and can successfully manage multiple deadlines, projects, and data needs
  • Ability to work independently as well as navigate cross-functional teams to align and deliver projects for both external client and internal stakeholders
  • BS in a relevant field
  • Full professional proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL is required
  • Python experience preferred
  • Experience with analytics tools like PowerBI and Tableau preferred
